Welcome to Brose Tuscaloosa

We are Brose North America’s flagship manufacturing facility in the Southeastern automotive corridor. Established in 2003, Brose Tuscaloosa has proven its competitiveness in cost and quality, along with its strong engagement in the local community. Production began in 2004 with the manufacturing of door systems, followed production of cooling fan modules and seat systems for a divers customer base.

We recently invested $14 million in infrastructure to meet a growing customer demand. Our expansion project increased the size of the original plant by adding over 80,000 square feet to the layout. The addition of a state-of-the-art internal warehouse featuring more storage levels and Very Narrow Aisles (VNA) forklifts will improve internal material flow and overall efficiency. To accommodate a growing workforce and new technical requirements, we dedicated 9,150 square feet of the expansion to office space, a drive-in acoustics chamber and a new measurement laboratory.

We are striving to be an employer of choice in a competitive job market. All three production shifts, along with office staff, will now enjoy a full-service cafeteria that serves fresh and affordable daily meals. And are the only Tier 1 supplier in the area offering this benefit to all employees.

Our facility also recently implemented an internal Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), a secure area under the supervision of the US Customs and Border protection where merchandise is held without being subject to certain custom duties.
